Members Only, Internet Edition: We Tried to Get Into Reddit's Most Secretive Communities (It Did Not Go Great)
Reddit has roughly 100,000 active communities, and most of them will let literally anyone in. But lurking beneath the surface of the platform's familiar chaos is a parallel Reddit — one of locked doors, bizarre entry rituals, and communities so selective they make the Harvard admissions office look like a Golden Corral. We tried to get in. Here's what we learned, and what it cost us (emotionally).
